Week 1: Norway
Days 1 & 2: Oslo – Capital City
The first two days of your private tour will be spent exploring Norway’s capital city, Oslo. Your private guide can collect you from the airport and transport you to your boutique hotel, where you can drop off your luggage and check-in.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Royal Palace, an official residence of Norway’s monarchy. Walk through the lavish staterooms, great hall, and cabinet parlous while learning more about the history of the Norwegian monarchy.
Visit some of Oslo’s most popular museums, including the MUNCH Museum, dedicated to Norway’s most famous painter, Edvard Munch, and the Fram Museum, where you’ll learn about Norway’s polar expedition as you board the 19th-century ship, Fram.
Finish your time in the capital city with a guided tour of the Oslo Opera House. Visit the main stage and backstage area before finishing on the roof of the opera house for panoramic views of Oslo’s skyline.
Day 3: Oslo to Flåm
On your 3rd day, travel across Norway on the scenic drive from Oslo to Flåm, with beautiful views and scenic stops along the way.
After traveling through Hallingdal Valley, one of Norway’s most picturesque inland regions, you’ll stop in the charming village of Gol, where you can grab a coffee and follow your guide on a stroll through the Norwegian countryside.
Explore Torpo Stave Church before traveling across the Hardangervidda National Park for a stop at Vøringsfossen, one of Norway’s most dramatic waterfalls. Get some unique photos with your travel group and watch as the water drops nearly 600 feet into the Måbødalen Valley.
Arrive in Flåm and finish the evening exploring the Flåm Church Forest Loop with your private guide. You’ll visit a historic church before walking through scenic forestry with views of the fjord.
Day 4: Nærøyfjord Cruise & Waterfall Hike
Start your day with a spectacular cruise through the Nærøyfjord, one of the most dramatic and narrow fjords in the world. This part of the Sognefjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery and cascading waterfalls.

Day 5: Scenic Drive to Bergen
On your 5th day, you’ll embark on a journey from the quiet fjord landscapes for Norway’s 2nd largest city.

Finish the day at the UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf. Explore the colorful wooden houses on the harbor while your guide tells you about the town’s role in the Hanseatic League’s trading empire.
Day 6: Bergen
Spend your 6th day exploring the vibrant city of Bergen with your private guide. Enjoy a tour of the Hanseatic Museum, admiring the preserved interiors and learning more about the town’s trading history. Finish the morning at Bergen’s famous Fish Markets. Finish the day exploring Nordnes, one of Bergen’s oldest neighborhoods. Enjoy the storybook cobbled lanes while your guide tells you how the city transformed from a medieval trading hub to a modern city.
Day 7: Fly to Iceland
On day 7, enjoy a free morning before your guide drops you off at Bergen Airport for a direct flight to Reykjavík. The flight takes between 2.5 and 3 hours, and you’ll be met by a friendly Icelandic private guide when you land. As you journey from the airport to Reykjavík city center, your guide will provide a warm introduction to Iceland and walk you through the second week of your itinerary.
Week 2 – Iceland
Day 8: Golden Circle
Spend the day on a journey through Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle, a popular 190-mile scenic loop.
Your first major stop is Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the only places on Earth where you can see the Mid-Atlantic Ridge above ground.
Next is the Geysir Geothermal Area, where we stop at Strokkur to witness boiling water erupting 20 meters into the air. Walk among steaming vents and hot springs while your guide talks about the influence of geothermal activity in Iceland.
The final stop on the route is Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most stunning and popular waterfalls. Watch as the Hvítá River plunges into a deep volcanic canyon, sending up a mist that often creates vivid rainbows in the sun. Your guide will lead you on short hikes to the best viewpoints while telling you about the local legend of Sigríður Tómasdóttir, who helped protect the falls from development.
After exploring Gulfoss, your guide will take you to your accommodation in Hella, a small town that acts as a perfect base for your 9th day.
Day 9: South Coast – Glaciers & Black Beaches
Head out with your private guide along Iceland’s stunning South Coast, with views of towering cliffs on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Your morning will be spent exploring two iconic Icelandic waterfalls:
- Seljalandsfoss – A fun experience where you can walk behind the waterfall and enjoy a unique experience of the cascading water.
- Skógafoss Waterfall – One of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, with water powerfully falling from a 60-meter drop. Your guide will lead you to the top of the fall for sweeping views of the coastline and glacier-covered mountains.
Enjoy a guided glacier walk on Sólheimajökull, a striking glacier tongue that’s safe to explore with a certified guide. You’ll be fitted with crampons and shown how to walk on the ice while learning about how glaciers change over time.
Finish the day at some of the most photogenic spots in all of Iceland. Start at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and walk along the famous jet-black sand. Get unique photos of your travel group on the sand with crashing waves in the background. Next is a short drive to the Dyrhólaey Cliffs, where you’ll enjoy incredible views over the black beaches and sea before unwinding at your nearby accommodation in Vík.
Day 10: Vatnajökull Glacier & Jökulsárlón Lagoon
Today, you’ll head east from Vík, following the Ring Road as it winds along the base of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. The highlight of the day is the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs break off a glacier and float out to sea. Embark on a private Zodiac boat tour, allowing you to get up close to the icebergs and, if you’re lucky, seals! Your guide will share stories about how the lagoon formed and what makes each iceberg unique.
Walk along the shores of Diamond Beach and see how the icebergs wash ashore. Your guide will lead you to nearby glacial viewpoints, where you can soak in the sights of the surrounding ice fields.
Finish your day in Höfn, a small harbor town known for its lobster dishes and glacier views.
Day 11: Return West
Today, you’ll begin making your way back west along Iceland’s South Coast. Your first stop is at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon—a narrow, winding gorge with steep walls and a winding river. Your guide will lead you along the marked path at the top of the canyon for amazing views and photo opportunities.
Continue through the Eldhraun lava fields, a vast area covered in soft green moss. Your guide can stop for leisurely walks and photo opportunities of Iceland’s largest lava fields.
Your private guide will drop you off in Selfoss, a peaceful town in Southern Iceland, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 12: Reykjanes Peninsula & Blue Lagoon
Explore the Reykjanes Peninsula, a region renowned for its lava fields, bubbling hot springs, and dramatic cliffs. It’s also where Iceland’s newest volcanic activity has taken place in recent years. Alongside your private guide, discover some of the area highlights, including:
- Seltún Geothermal Area: Walk among steaming vents, where you’ll hear the hiss of steam and feel the warmth rising from the ground.
- Gunnuhver Hot Springs: Visit one of the largest and most active geothermal areas in Iceland. Admire the powerful steam vents, with hot water gushing from the Earth.

In the afternoon, it’s time to slow down and enjoy some downtime at the Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most famous geothermal spa. Enjoy quality time with your travel group, with premier access to the spa, where you can relax in turquoise waters, indulge in silica mud masks, and finish with a drink at the swim-up bar.
When you’re ready to leave the luxurious spa, your private guide will take you to your Reykjavík accommodation, where you’ll be based for the final two nights of your tour.
Day 13: Reykjavík
Start your day with a walking tour of the city, exploring the colorful streets and taking a chance to buy handmade souvenirs or unique Icelandic wool products. Enjoy guided tours of the National Museum of Iceland, featuring interactive exhibits that explain Icelandic history, and the Reykjavík Art Museum or Ásmundarsafn, which showcases modern Icelandic art.
In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a boat from Reykjavík’s Old Harbor and head out into Faxaflói Bay for a whale-watching tour. As you sail further from shore, you’ll enter waters that are home to minke whales, dolphins, and many more exciting wildlife. As you cruise along the bay, you’ll be taught how to spot animals and their common characteristics.
In the evening, enjoy the final dinner of your private tour. Our tour designers will compile a shortlist of recommended restaurants based on the type of food and setting you are looking for.
Day 14: Flight Home
Your final tour has ended! Your private guide will be on hand until it’s time to drop you off at the airport for your flight home. Depending on the time of your flight, your guide can tailor the day to include some last-minute attractions.
