Days 1 & 2: Oslo

Your friendly private guide will be on hand to meet you at Oslo Airport, where they will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your private vehicle. Your private tour has officially begun, and the first two days of your tour will be spent in the capital city, Oslo.

Get to know the city on a guided walking tour of some of Oslo’s most iconic sights. Walk through the grounds of the Royal Palace and admire the picturesque Oslo Opera House before finishing along the lively harbor promenade of Aker Brygge, where street performers create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Enjoy guided tours of two of Oslo’s most popular museums:

Day 3: Geilo

On day 3, your private guide will take you on a scenic drive through the Hallingdal Valley, one of Norway’s most beautiful regions. You’ll stop at a family-run mountain farm, where children can meet goats, sheep, and horses and learn about life in rural Norway. You may even spot wild moose or reindeer – your private guide will let you know where sightings are most likely.

Your next stop is Langedrag Nature Park, where you can see wolves, lynx, and Nordic animals in natural enclosures. Your private guide will share interesting facts about these animals while you admire them in their natural habitat.

Arrive at the mountain town of Geilo, one of Norway’s most popular outdoor destinations. Your guide can tailor the evening to your preferences, depending on what is important to you. There are easy hiking trails and cycling paths in the summer, as well as cross-country skiing and dog sledding in the winter.

Finish the day with a walk around Ustedalsfjorden Lake and ride the summer toboggan track at Geilo Sommerpark.

Days 4 & 5: Flåm

Depart Geilo to start the journey to Flåm, a beautiful village in the Aurlandfjord. En route, you’ll stop at the magnificent Vøringsfossen Waterfall, where you can admire the cascade from a safe viewing platform and skywalk.

You’ll arrive in Flåm in the afternoon, spending the next two days in the picturesque village.

Your guide will take you on the Flåm Railways, one of the world’s steepest and most scenic train lines, where you’ll see waterfalls, mountain farms, and stunning fjords.

Enjoy a luxurious private cruise of Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you admire the nearby waterfalls, your guide will share fascinating stories, including how the fjord was used for Viking trade and local tales about trolls and fjord spirits.

Day 6: Balestrand

On day 6, your private guide will take you from Flåm to the charming village of Balestrand, crossing the legendary Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord. Your journey starts by boarding a short ferry for a stunning journey across the Sognefjord.

Spend the rest of days 7 and 8 in Leon, a beautiful village located between the Nordfjord and towering mountains.

Ride the Loen Skylift, one of the steepest cable cars in the world, taking you from fjord level to the top of Mount Hoven in five minutes. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views as your guide leads you on a gentle walk on the mountaintop.

Days 9 & 10: Ålesund

Your 9th and 10th day will be spent in the coastal town of Ålesund. The journey itself is a highlight, offering stunning views of fjords, rolling hills, and coastal cliffs. Break up the journey with a stop at a hidden beach like Haukåsanden. It’s a quiet beach, mainly only known by locals, and a great stop to stretch your legs and even swim in the sea.

Upon arrival in Ålesund, begin with a guided tour of Atlanterhavsparken, one of the largest saltwater aquariums in Europe. It’s the perfect addition to your itinerary, featuring hands-on experiences for children and fascinating exhibits for the whole family to learn about Norway’s ecosystem.
