Week 1: Introduction to Norway
Days 1-2: Oslo
Your private tour begins with your personal driver-guide collecting you from the airport or accommodation. Depending on the time of year, start with a guided tour of the Royal Palace, the home of the Norwegian royal family. Your private guide will take you to some of Oslo’s most exclusive museums, including the Fram Museum, Munch Museum, and the National Museum.
Finish with a walk through the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Oslo Opera House, where you can climb the roof for panoramic views of the skyline.
Days 3-4: Lillehammer
Spend two days in the picturesque town of Lillehammer, renowned for being the host of the 1994 Olympics. En route, enjoy a scenic drive along Lake Mjøsa, the largest lake in Norway.
Enjoy guided tours of the Maihaugen Open-Air Museum, one of Scandinavia’s most prominent open-air museums with 200 historic buildings, and the Lillehammer Art Museum, known for its collection of contemporary art.
Visit the Lillehammer Olympic Park, the site for the 1994 Winter Olympics. Ride the chairlift to the top of the Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jump for panoramic views over Lillehammer and Lake Mjøsa. Explore the Olympic Museum, showcasing winter sports history and Lillehammer’s Olympic history. Finish with a hike following the Birkebeiner Trail, where you can explore part of the route used in Norway’s legendary ski race and historic royal escape.
Days 5-6: Røros (UNESCO Town)
Your 5th and 6th days will be spent exploring the UNESCO-listed mining town of Røros. Enjoy a walking tour of the town, exploring the cobbled streets, the iconic Røros Church, and Sleggveien Street, the preserved miners’ lane.
The highlight of your time here is a guided tour of the Røros Copper Works Museum, where you’ll learn about 330 years of copper mining history. Finish at the Olavsgruva Mine, where you have the option to descend into the tunnels with a helmet and flashlight to get a sense of life underground.
Day 7: Trondheim
Your private guide will take you north on a scenic drive through the rolling countryside to Trondheim, once the Viking-age capital of Norway. Start at the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, where you can explore the Gothic masterpiece and climb the cathedral tower for panoramic views.
Your guide will lead you through the charming Bakklandet district before exploring Trondheim’s medieval history at the Archbishop’s Palace Museum.
Week 2: Coastal Norway
Days 8-9: Kristiansund & Atlantic Road
Enjoy the coastal route towards Kristiansund, stopping at Kvernes Stave Church along the way. Explore the historic harbor and old-town district of Sundbåten before a guided tour of the Clipfish Museum and Sundbåt Cruis, the world’s oldest passenger boat service.
Enjoy a day exploring the Atlantic Ocean Road, one of Norway’s most iconic drives. Your guide will stop at key points along the route, such as Storseisundet Bridge, Eldhusøya, and Myrbærholmbrua.
Days 10-12: Ålesund
As your private guide takes you south, break up the drive with a stop in Molde. Enjoy guided tours of the Romsdal Museum and Molde Cathedral before carrying onto Ålesund, where you’ll spend the next three nights.
Begin with a guided walking tour through the city center, taking in notable landmarks such as Jugendstilsenteret and KUBE, as well as the iconic buildings along Kongens Gate and Apotekergata.
Spend a day enjoying a private boat tour for an island hopping experience across the surrounding archipelago, stopping at tranquil islands such as Godøya, Giske, and Runde Island.
Your final day will be spent enjoying a wildlife sea safari on a RIB (rigid inflatable boat) safari, where you can explore the fjords and coastal waters from a unique perspective.
Days 13-14: Geirangerfjord (UNESCO)
Enjoy the scenic drive towards Geiranger, traveling along the iconic Trollstigen Road before a stop at the majestic Stigfossen Waterfall. Finish the day exploring the fjord promenade and Fjord Center, learning about the area’s UNESCO status.
On day 14, you’ll board a scenic fjord cruise from Geiranger to explore the UNESCO-listed fjord. Enjoy views of the Seven Sisters, The Suitor, and Bridal Veil waterfalls as your guide shares interesting facts about the region’s geology and legends.
Finish the day with a unique experience on a guided waterfall hike through the Storseterfossen Trail, a moderate trek that leads behind a waterfall.
Week 3 – Fjords, Mountains & Rural Beauty
Days 15-16: Loen / Nordfjord
You’ll spend two days in the charming village of Leon in the beautiful Nordfjord region. Ride on one of the steepest cable cars in the world, the Loen Skylift, which ascends over 1,000 meters in five minutes. The thrill is worth it for the incredible panoramic views from the top.
Thrill seekers can embark on a guided climb up Via Ferrata Leon, a steel cable route that offers jaw-dropping views from the top.
Finish with a scenic drive to the Briksdal Glacier, where you can hike to the glacier’s edge and enjoy stunning views of waterfalls and surrounding mountains.
Days 17-18: Sognefjord & Fjærland
Begin your day with a panoramic drive along the shoreline of Sognefjord, with scenic stops at the charming fjord-side village, Balestrand.
Arrive at Fjærland and begin with a guided tour of the Norwegian Glacier Museum (Norsk Bremuseum), an award-winning attraction. Witness the Interactive exhibits that explain the science of glaciers and climate change.
On day 18, enjoy a peaceful cruise across the Fjærlandsfjord before visiting the Bøyabreen Glacier in the afternoon.
Days 19-20: Flåm & Aurlandsfjord
Visit Flåm, the beautiful village in the Aurlandsfjord, and start with a ride along the Flåm Railway for one of the world’s most scenic train rides, stopping at Kjofossen Waterfall along the way. Finish the evening with a walking tour in Flåm village, followed by a traditional Norwegian dinner overlooking the fjords.
On day 20, your private guide will take you to the Stegastein Viewpoint for breathtaking views of the Aurlandsfjord. You’ll then finish the day in Undredal, visiting a local goat farm to sample its famous brown goat cheese and a trip to Norway’s smallest stave church.
Week 4 – Western Fjord’s to Southern Coast
Days 21-22: Bergen
Spend the following two days in Norway’s second-largest city, Bergen. Enjoy a walking tour of Bergen, including a stop at the historic UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf and the lively Fish Market.
Finish the day by riding the Fløibanen Funicular, transporting you to the top of Mount Fløyen. When you reach the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline and nearby islands.
Days 23-24: Stavanger & Pulpit Rock
Enjoy the scenic drive to Stavanger, stopping along the way at the Viking town of Haugesund and the Haraldshaugen Monument, said to mark the burial site of Norway’s first king, Harald Fairhair.
When you arrive in Stavanger, enjoy a guided tour of the Stavanger Art Museum before finishing in the Old Stavanger district.
The highlight of your time here is a guided hike to Preikestolen, often referred to as one of Norway’s most iconic hikes. Your guide will lead you to the summit, where you’ll be met with panoramic views over Lysefjord as you stand at the edge of the 600-meter cliff. An alternative to the hike is a leisurely cruise around the Lysefjord.
Days 25–26: Kristiansand / Sørlandet
Your private driver guide will take you along the southern coast for two nights in the city of Kristiansund. On your way, stop in Risør, one of Norway’s best-preserved wooden towns, and Arendal, a beautiful town on the coast.

Day 27: Return to Oslo
As your private tour nears its end, your private guide will take you on the scenic drive to Oslo. Stop along the way in Setesdal Valley, known for its rolling green hills and local silver craft traditions. Browse for unique souvenirs with the chance to purchase traditional Norwegian handcrafts.
As you approach Oslo, enjoy a guided walking tour along Tyrifjorden, one of Norway’s largest lakes, before arriving in the capital city in the evening. Finish with a guided tour of Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle built to protect and serve as a residence for the royal family.
Day 28: Departure
On your final day, your private driver-guide will be on hand to ensure you return to the airport safely and on time. Depending on how much time you have before your flight, your guide can include some last-minute attractions in your private itinerary. This can be either new attractions or returning to attractions you particularly enjoyed at the start of your tour.
